Terms & Conditions

Motorcycle Rental & Guided Motorcycle Tours – Brașov, Romania

These Terms & Conditions govern the rental of motorcycles and participation in guided motorcycle tours provided by MotoAventura, operated by DTS Strategies and Solutions S.R.L., Romania. By making a reservation, signing a rental agreement, or participating in a guided tour, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Company Details

2. Eligibility Requirements

To rent a motorcycle or participate in a guided motorcycle tour, the client must:

  • Be at least 21 years old at the start date of the rental or tour;
  • Hold a valid motorcycle driving licence (Category A);
  • Have sufficient riding experience appropriate to the selected motorcycle;
  • Declare that they are medically fit to ride a motorcycle.

MotoAventura reserves the right to refuse rental or participation if these conditions are not met.

3. Rental Duration

  • Minimum rental period: 1 day (24 hours);
  • Maximum rental period: 14 consecutive calendar days;
  • Rental period starts and ends on the date and time specified in the rental agreement.

Late return may result in additional charges as described below.

4. Motorcycle Handover & Return

  • Motorcycles are handed over and returned at MotoAventura’s designated location in Brașov;
  • Delivery or pickup at another location is available upon request for a fixed fee of 50 RON;
  • A Handover / Return Report is completed at the beginning and end of the rental, documenting the condition of the motorcycle, mileage, fuel level, and accessories.

The motorcycle is considered accepted once the handover report is signed.

5. Rental Prices & Mileage

Standard daily rental prices:

  • BMW F650GS (2000) – 78 EUR / day
  • BMW F650GS (2007) – 90 EUR / day
  • BMW F850GS (2018) – 96 EUR / day
  • Honda Transalp (2024) – 107 EUR / day

Discounts:

  • 10% discount for rentals longer than 4 days;
  • 15% discount for rentals longer than 7 days.

Mileage limit:

  • Included mileage: 150 km / day;
  • Extra mileage: 0.20 EUR / km.

6. Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit is required before motorcycle handover:

  • BMW F650GS – 400 EUR
  • BMW F850GS – 700 EUR
  • Honda Transalp – 700 EUR

The deposit may be partially or fully retained to cover damages, losses, fines, or contractual breaches. If damages exceed the deposit, the client remains fully liable for the difference.

7. Insurance

  • All motorcycles include mandatory Third Party Liability Insurance (RCA);
  • Optional CASCO insurance may be requested, subject to separate conditions;
  • Insurance does not cover damages caused by negligence, improper use, off-road abuse (unless agreed), alcohol or drug use, or violations of traffic laws.

8. Use of the Motorcycle

The client agrees:

  • To use the motorcycle responsibly and in accordance with Romanian traffic laws;
  • Not to allow any third party to ride the motorcycle;
  • Not to use the motorcycle for racing, stunts, competitions, or illegal activities;
  • To immediately notify MotoAventura in case of accident, damage, theft, or technical failure.

9. Use Outside Romania

  • Taking the motorcycle outside Romania is strictly prohibited without prior written consent;
  • Any approved cross-border use must be expressly mentioned in the rental agreement or an addendum;
  • The client is responsible for checking insurance validity in foreign countries;
  • All costs incurred abroad (tolls, fines, parking, repatriation, transport) are borne by the client.

Unauthorized cross-border use results in immediate termination of the rental and full retention of the security deposit.

10. Guided Motorcycle Tours

For guided tours organized by MotoAventura:

  • Participation is voluntary and at the rider’s own risk;
  • Riders must follow the guide’s instructions at all times;
  • MotoAventura is not responsible for incidents caused by rider negligence, traffic violations, or failure to follow instructions;
  • Tours may be modified or cancelled due to weather, road conditions, or safety reasons.

11. Payments, Cancellation & No-Show

  • Full rental payment is required in advance;
  • The security deposit is paid separately and is not considered rental payment.

Cancellation policy:

  • More than 7 days before start date: full refund;
  • 3–7 days before start date: 50% refund;
  • Less than 3 days before start date: no refund.

No-show (failure to appear at the agreed date and time) results in 100% charge.

12. Late Return

  • Delay up to 2 hours: 20 EUR penalty;
  • Delay exceeding 2 hours: charged as one additional rental day.

13. Liability & Damages

The client is fully liable for:

  • Any damage caused by misuse or negligence;
  • Traffic fines, penalties, or legal consequences incurred during the rental;
  • Loss or damage of accessories and documents.

14. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to force majeure events as defined by law.

15. Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Romanian law. Any disputes shall be settled amicably or, failing that, by the competent courts of Romania.

16. Final Provisions

MotoAventura reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version published on the website at the time of booking shall apply.

By renting a motorcycle or participating in a guided tour, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
